Celebrating Family Home
Passing on the Faith
Home

Passing on the Faith is a plan of collaborative family-centred action to help parents and grandparents to pass on faith in God:

  • to provide them with more support, tools and resources
  • to respect the role of the family and to see how this fits with the roles of school and parish
  • to provide comfort and healing where necessary

"Parents expressed a need for more help in raising their children in the Faith, both in terms of deepening their own understanding and being able to integrate it into the life of the home." (Not Easy But Full of Meaning)

The remit of the Working Group is: To resource and support parents and grandparents in their “irreplaceable and inalienable” task of passing on faith in God, to establish what passing on the faith means and to identify the complementary roles, rights and responsibilities of home, school and parish
